Daphne Oram

Daphne Oram was a pioneering British composer and electronic music producer, known for her innovative work in the field of electronic sound and music technology. She co-founded the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in 1958, where she created groundbreaking sound effects and compositions, including the eerie electronic score for the famous British science fiction series Doctor Who.
