Daria Bilyk
Daria Bilyk, a 27-year-old originally from Severomorsk, Russia, moved to Ireland in 2021 with her husband Nikita to pursue master's degrees at Trinity College Dublin. Growing up in a town marked by government propaganda and economic hardship, Daria was inspired by her Ukrainian heritage and a desire for a more open and welcoming environment. After facing significant challenges in finding suitable housing in Dublin, the couple eventually settled in Mullingar, where they found a strong sense of community. Daria now works in the medical device industry, having previously worked in insurance, and she is dedicated to raising her son in a supportive and kind environment, though she grapples with the absence of family due to political tensions in Russia.
