Dario Gjergja

Dario Gjergja is a Croatian basketball coach who has recently been appointed as the head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina men's national basketball team. Born in Zadar, he began his coaching career as an assistant at KK Zagreb and later worked with Cibona before moving overseas. Gjergja spent 17 years in Belgium, where he led several teams, including Charleroi, Liege, and Oostende, winning a remarkable 14 national championships. He also served as the head coach of the Belgian national team since 2018. His extensive experience and previous consideration for the Croatian national team position highlight his reputation in the basketball community. Gjergja now faces the challenge of preparing the Bosnian team for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Turkey and Serbia.
