Darwin Barco

Darwin Barco is a seasoned security guard who dedicated nearly 20 years of his life to ensuring the safety of the Multicomercio building in Guayaquil. He was on duty the night before a devastating fire broke out, which led to the collapse of parts of the structure and left him and seven other long-time employees without jobs. Barco expressed deep emotional pain over the loss of not just his employment, but the stability it provided for his family, highlighting the struggles faced by older workers in finding new employment opportunities.
