Darwin Gerardo Depool Licett, a 45-year-old man from Aragua, Venezuela, was arrested by the Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (Cicpc) for the alleged murder of his 71-year-old father, Miguel Gerardo Depool Noguera. The incident reportedly stemmed from ongoing familial conflicts, culminating in a violent altercation where Darwin struck his father with a pipe. Following the attack, Miguel was taken to the Hospital Central De Maracay, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
