Darwin Situmorang

Darwin Situmorang, a 73-year-old resident of Desa Bongkaras in North Sumatra, has been a vocal opponent of PT Dairi Prima Mineral's mining operations, which he claims have devastated local agriculture and led to severe flooding. He has lived a life rooted in farming, supporting his nine children through the sale of rice and other crops until the mining activities disrupted their livelihoods.
