After moving to Canada, he built a new life and eventually married Pearl, with whom he shared a loving and gradual relationship for over 50 years. Following Pearl's death, Dave found love again with Ruth, which sparked mixed feelings within his family, reflecting the complexities of love, loss, and acceptance in later life.
