David Knopfler

David Knopfler is an English guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as the co-founder and lead guitarist of the band Dire Straits alongside his brother, Mark Knopfler. While he contributed to the band's early success, David left the group in 1980 to pursue a solo career, where he continued to explore a variety of musical styles, including folk and rock. His work has been characterized by a blend of lyrical storytelling and intricate guitar work.
