Davide Morganti

Davide Morganti, a 22-year-old deaf-mute, gained notoriety after confessing to the brutal murder of his mother, Anna Viliani, in Montepiano, Italy. He attacked her while she was possibly asleep, delivering multiple stab wounds before setting their home on fire to erase evidence of the crime. Morganti claimed to have acted in a moment of perceived liberation from a history of familial abuse, stating he believed he had done the 'right thing.' Following the incident, he was arrested and is currently in custody.
