Dawa Dunjue

Dawa Dunjue is a prominent environmental volunteer and the deputy leader of the Yangtze River source environmental protection volunteer team in Maqu Township, located in the Anduo County of Nagqu City, Tibet. Growing up in Nagqu, Dawa is viewed as somewhat of an outsider by local herders, yet he has embraced his role as a 'guardian of the source' at the foot of the Geladandong Mountain. His dedication to preserving the natural environment around the source of the Yangtze River reflects a deep respect for nature, which is shared by the generations of pastoralists who have lived in the area.
