DD

DD is a Bosnian Muslim survivor of the Srebrenica genocide, who tragically lost her husband and two sons during the atrocities committed by Serbian forces in July 1995. In her poignant testimony, she recounted the harrowing moments when she and her two younger children sought refuge at the UNPROFOR base in Potočari, only to be separated from her eldest son by Serbian soldiers. Her account highlights the fear and despair faced by thousands of families during the genocide, as well as the enduring hope of a mother who still clings to the belief that her son might be alive.
