Declan Coundy

Declan Coundy, a 20-year-old soldier from Des Moines, Iowa, was a dedicated student at Drake University, where he studied computer science and cybersecurity. He served as an information technology specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve and was the youngest of the six soldiers tragically killed in a drone attack in Kuwait. Posthumously promoted, Coundy was recognized for his service with multiple awards, including the Army Service Ribbon and the National Defense Service Ribbon.
