Decsi István

Decsi István, also known as Panatta, is a celebrated figure in Hungarian fencing, renowned for his contributions as both a practitioner and a mentor. Born in 1953, he began his fencing journey in 1963 at the Angyalföldi Sportiskola, where he trained under the legendary Borsody László. As the patriarch of a fencing dynasty, he has passed down his passion for the sport to his sons and grandchildren, fostering a legacy that continues to thrive at the Kertvárosi Vívópalota. Recently, he celebrated his 70th birthday while emphasizing the achievements of his family and students in the sport.
