Dedi, a 42-year-old former Betawi musician, once brought life to the city with the sounds of gambang keromong. After years in the arts, he transitioned to becoming an online motorcycle taxi driver to support his family, citing the insufficient income from his performances as a reason for this career change. Despite this shift, he still cherishes his roots in Betawi culture, occasionally playing traditional music at home.
