Dejan Pantić

Dejan Pantić is a Serbian national and former member of the Kosovo Police, who gained significant media attention after his arrest in December 2022 for alleged involvement in attacks on members of the Central Election Commission in northern Kosovska Mitrovica. His detention sparked widespread protests and blockades by the Serbian community in the northern municipalities of Kosovo, demanding his release or transfer from custody. The situation escalated to the point where KFOR, the NATO-led international peacekeeping force, was requested to assist in transferring him to a more suitable prison facility, given the lack of operational helicopters in Kosovo.
