
Dejan Rusimović
Dejan Rusimović was a notable visual artist from Vranje, Serbia, recognized for his unique approach to art that explored the relationship between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. He began his artistic journey at the Secondary Art School 'Đorđe Krstić' in Niš and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje in 1991. Rusimović gained acclaim for his work at the International Biennale of Miniature Art in Gornji Milanovac, where he won first prize in 2000. He was also known for designing the cover art for the debut album of the cult Macedonian dark-wave band Mizar in 1988. In addition to his artistic contributions, he dedicated a significant part of his career to education, working as an educator at the Students' Home for Secondary Schools in Vranje. His passing on June 13, 2025, in Belgrade followed a prolonged illness, marking the loss of a significant figure in the Serbian art community.
