Once known as Della Grace, Volcano's work gained attention in the 1990s for its candid depictions of lesbian subcultures, challenging societal norms and expectations regarding gender and sexuality. After relocating to Örebro, Sweden, they have continued to create impactful art while navigating a complex personal history marked by their intersex identity and experiences of marginalization. Volcano's upcoming exhibitions in London and Edinburgh aim to further showcase their artistic legacy and the importance of queer narratives.
