
Della Manley
Della Manley is a talented folk singer-songwriter originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica, who moved to Canada at the age of 15. She honed her musical skills through extensive training in piano, guitar, and singing, and later rediscovered her passion for music while studying at York University. After marrying Joseph Manley, son of the late Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Manley, she returned to Jamaica in 1983, where she began performing in small venues. Despite initial struggles in the music industry, she gained recognition and released her debut album in 1997. Recently, she made headlines following a serious car accident in Montego Bay, prompting a fundraising effort by fellow musicians to support her recovery and medical expenses.
