Dembo Jobarteh

Dembo Jobarteh, widely known as D Jobz, is a prominent Gambian musician and social activist recognized for his commitment to addressing gender inequality and domestic violence through creative initiatives. He is the founder of the HeforShe Music Movement, a five-year initiative aimed at engaging artists in the fight against harmful practices like Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in The Gambia. Jobarteh has been a vocal advocate for societal transformation and youth empowerment, particularly focusing on the empowerment of girls and women.
