Denis Tumash
Denis Tumash, born in 1982, is a Belarusian businessman who served as the head of 'Belneftekhim-Ros', the Russian arm of the Belarusian state oil company 'Belneftekhim'. A graduate of the Minsk State Linguistic University, he began his career in the National Academy of Sciences under the leadership of Mikhail Myasnikovich, who later appointed him to the Council of Ministers when he became Prime Minister in 2010. Tumash led 'Belneftekhim-Ros' from September 2014 until his arrest in September 2024 for alleged bribery, shortly after returning from a vacation in the Seychelles. His connections with high-level officials and his role in a major criminal case have placed him in the spotlight of Belarusian news.
