Denis Zubov was a convicted murderer from Volgograd, Russia, who had been sentenced for three murders between 2013 and 2014. He was recruited from prison to fight in Ukraine, where he reportedly died in combat on April 20, 2023, shortly after receiving a presidential pardon.
