Derek Boyd

Derek Boyd, a 31-year-old from Finglas, Dublin, was recently found guilty of murdering 34-year-old Mark Carroll in June 2024. Boyd was already serving a suspended sentence for the manslaughter of his sister when he committed this crime, which involved fatally stabbing Carroll in the chest at his home. He also faced charges of assaulting Carroll's girlfriend, Megan Rock, though the jury was unable to reach a verdict on that count.
