Desrie Markham
Desrie Markham is the reigning Miss Antigua and Barbuda Queen of Carnival 2024 and is set to represent Antigua and Barbuda at the Miss Caribbean Universe pageant in June 2025. Known for her advocacy in the arts and mental health, she launched the ArtBeat initiative to celebrate young creatives and promote the cultural identity of her nation. Additionally, she is a Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers, actively working on implementing competition law in Antigua and Barbuda. Markham's dedication to her community and her platform 'DRAMA: A Safe Space for the Depressed, Deprived, and Delinquent' highlights her commitment to using the arts as a means of emotional support for vulnerable youth.
