Dewadhy Zuliem Melo

Dewadhy Zuliem Melo, 26, is an environmental engineer from San José del Fragua, Caquetá, Colombia. She has personal experience with the violence of the armed conflict, having been kidnapped at the age of four and later displaced with her family. Currently, she works with the Danish Refugee Council in Tumaco, where she bravely participates in demining operations to help clear the land of landmines and explosives, aiming to break the cycle of violence and fear in her community.
