Dewi Ariyani, a 48-year-old runner from Makassar, South Sulawesi, has participated in the Bank Jateng Borobudur Marathon multiple times, marking her sixth participation this year. Since her debut in 2017, she has missed the event only three times due to various reasons. As a member of the Nightrunvercity Makassar running community, Dewi is drawn to the marathon by the continuous innovations introduced by the organizers each year. This year, she eagerly anticipates a new route that showcases both the beauty of Borobudur Temple and the surrounding countryside. Professionally, Dewi is a doctor, and her enthusiasm for the event is matched by her appreciation for the unique medals and jerseys, as well as the warm support from local residents along the race route.
