Dharmie Deo

Dharmie Deo, affectionately known as Moyo, was a remarkable super-centenarian from Trinidad who lived to the age of 111. Born in 1914 to Indian indentured labourers, she witnessed significant historical changes throughout her life. Moyo was a mother of seven, though she survived her husband and six of her children. She was celebrated for her dedication to preserving East Indian culture in her community and was honored by the Indian High Commission for her contributions. Despite facing health challenges in her later years, Moyo remained a cherished figure surrounded by her family, including her sole surviving child.
