Dieter Schmidtas

Dieter Schmidtas, a dual citizen of Germany and Russia born in Siberia in 1984, was recently sentenced to six years in prison by a Munich court for planning sabotage operations against German railway lines and military infrastructure under the direction of Russian intelligence. He was found guilty of seeking potential targets, including U.S. military bases, and of being a member of a foreign terrorist organization linked to pro-Russian militias in Eastern Ukraine. Despite denying the charges, Schmidtas was implicated in activities aimed at undermining Germany's support for Ukraine since the Russian invasion.
