Dimitris G. Pyrros

Dimitris G. Pyrros is a distinguished figure in the field of emergency medicine in Greece, having dedicated over 28 years to the Hellenic National Center for Emergency Assistance (EKAB). A graduate of the University of Ioannina Medical School with a specialization in orthopedics, Pyrros served as the director of medical services at EKAB for 19 years. Over his career, he logged more than 3,300 flight hours and was involved in numerous critical rescue missions and humanitarian efforts. He is known for his impactful stories, including the birth of a child in a helicopter and the rescue of individuals following catastrophic events.
