Dimitris Mitsatsos

Dimitris Mitsatsos was the captain of the Greek naval vessel 'Phaethon' during a tumultuous period in Cyprus in August 1964. He bravely led his crew during a fierce Turkish air attack, which resulted in significant casualties among the crew, including the loss of his own hand.
