Dinis Silica was a Mozambican judge tragically assassinated on March 8, 2014, while performing his judicial duties. His murder highlighted the dangers faced by judicial officials in Mozambique and has since been commemorated during the annual Day of the Mozambican Judge, a day dedicated to honoring judges who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
