Diogo Tavares
Diogo Tavares is an experienced travel leader and the founder of Wildputos, a project designed to immerse children aged 11 to 15 in the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Peneda-Gerês National Park in Portugal. With a passion for connecting youth to nature, Tavares started Wildputos in 2022 as a way to share his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors with his son, André. The program encourages children to engage in activities like trekking, camping, and learning about local wildlife, while fostering self-confidence and teamwork. Tavares has also launched a new initiative aimed at older participants, focusing on more demanding survival skills and outdoor challenges. His work not only provides memorable experiences for children but also promotes a greater appreciation for rural living and environmental stewardship.
