Djoy is a resident of the Ponta d'Água neighborhood in Praia, Cabo Verde, who has been facing severe water scarcity, going without running water for nearly 20 days. He has expressed frustration over the situation, highlighting that during the rare instances when water is available, it is insufficient to fill even a small container. To cope with the ongoing water crisis, Djoy has resorted to purchasing water from fire services, incurring additional costs, while still being required to pay regular monthly water bills, despite the lack of service.
