Dmytro Travin

Dmytro Travin is a former Russian soldier from Rostov-on-Don, who enlisted in the military in 2024 under a contract. Before his service, he worked as an installer and was influenced by state propaganda regarding the conflict in Ukraine. After a brief training period, he served in reconnaissance, initially as a sniper's second and later as a drone operator. Travin has spoken out about the harsh realities of military life, including coercion to purchase equipment at personal expense and the absurdity of frontline assaults, as well as the role of media in shaping soldiers' perceptions of the conflict.
