She was instrumental in coordinating important collections that addressed the crimes of communism, and her notable works include 'Cazul Nichita Dumitru' and 'Lexiconul negru, unelte ale represiunii comuniste.' Her literary and intellectual contributions have made her a pivotal figure in the memory of communist totalitarianism in Romania. Jela passed away at the age of 74, leaving behind a significant legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.
