Dolores Leonor López

Dolores Leonor López is a dedicated pilgrim from San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, who has been making the journey to the Basilica of Guadalupe for the past ten years. As a member of the Club de Peregrinos Descalzos, she travels with her group initially by car and returns barefoot as an act of gratitude to the Virgin of Guadalupe for her recovery from an illness. Her husband, who coordinates their group, instilled this tradition in her after participating in a similar pilgrimage during his school years.
