Domhnall Nugent

Domhnall Nugent is a 28-year-old hurling player and mental health advocate from Belfast, known for his remarkable journey from addiction to sobriety. After struggling with alcoholism and making headlines during a 2017 county final, he has since turned his life around, achieving six-and-a-half years of sobriety, winning a Joe McDonagh medal, and becoming a key player for the St John's hurling team. Domhnall has also taken on the role of Down camogie manager and is actively involved in promoting mental health awareness, sharing his story to inspire others.
