Dominique Cosme was a French medical biologist who gained notoriety in the late 1990s when he was accused of murdering his associate, Pascal Vito. After a lengthy legal battle that included a highly publicized trial, he was acquitted in 2009 due to insufficient evidence. Despite being cleared of wrongdoing, the accusations haunted him until his death in 2020 from Covid-19.
