Domna Visvizi

Domna Visvizi was a notable figure during the Greek War of Independence, known for her leadership at sea and her bravery in battle. After the death of her husband, Antonis Visvizi, who was one of the early members of the Filiki Eteria, she took command of the ship 'Kalomoira' and fought against Ottoman forces. Her contributions to the revolution highlight the role of women in the struggle for Greek independence.
