Doney

Doney is the president of the Whakatāne Athletics and Harriers Club and has been a dedicated member for over 60 years. He has been actively involved in organizing the Toi’s Challenge race, which has faced challenges due to track closures caused by a slip. Doney expressed frustration over the lengthy detour and the increased difficulty of the new route, emphasizing the importance of health and safety regulations while also advocating for the restoration of the original track.
