Donna Shannon Paterson

Donna Shannon Paterson is a retired special education educator from Toronto who, along with her friend Leslie Grant, co-founded Judy’s Beach Café, a non-profit establishment aimed at providing meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Inspired by her late sister Judy, who had Down Syndrome, Paterson's vision is to create a supportive work environment where employees can thrive and share their experiences.
