Donne

Donne is the owner of Nikki, a heroic dog who saved her life after a car accident that left her traumatized. Following the accident, which resulted in Nikki pulling Donne from a wrecked vehicle, she established the Kotuku Foundation Assistance Animals Aotearoa (KFAAA) in memory of her beloved dog, who passed away from bone cancer in the early 2000s. Recently, Donne has been in the news as Nikki is posthumously awarded the inaugural NZADSA civilian medal for her bravery, a recognition that Donne describes as bittersweet, highlighting the lasting impact Nikki had on her life.
