Dorothy Watters

Dorothy Watters is a PhD student with the Planetary Health Group at the Medical Research Council (MRC) in The Gambia, where she conducts research on the impacts of climate change on maternal and neonatal health, particularly focusing on the effects of heat stress on pregnant women. Her work includes the Gambia Heat and Pregnancy Study (GAPS), which aims to gather evidence on how increased temperatures affect pregnancy outcomes and to develop community-level adaptations to protect vulnerable populations.
