Dostanbek Eszhanov, born in 1982 in Akmolinskaya Oblast, is a Kazakh politician and former akim of the Arshalynsky District. He graduated from Turan University in 2005 with a degree in law and began his career in public service in 2006 as a chief specialist in the Esil District akimat. Over the years, he has held various positions including head of the organizational and personnel work department and deputy akim of Esil District. Eszhanov served as akim of the Birjan Sal District from October 2020 until December 2024, when he was appointed akim of Arshalynsky District. Recently, he was in the news due to his dismissal from the akim position along with another akim in the Akmolinskaya region.
