Dotun Popoola

Dotun Popoola is a renowned Nigerian sculptor and the founder of the Scrap Art Museum in Ile-Ife, Osun State. With a formal education in Sculpture and Painting from Obafemi Awolowo University, he has dedicated his career to repurposing waste materials into art, focusing primarily on discarded metals. His innovative approach not only showcases his artistic talent but also emphasizes sustainability and environmental awareness. Having started his artistic journey at the age of nine, Popoola has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Nigeria and internationally, including the United Nations Conference in Azerbaijan. He is also actively involved in training young creatives, fostering a new generation of artists committed to the principles of waste-to-wealth.
