Dr Abraha Gebreegziabher

Dr Abraha Gebreegziabher is the chief clinical director of Ayder Hospital in Tigray, Ethiopia, where he has been instrumental in treating thousands of survivors of sexual violence amidst the ongoing conflict. His work has shed light on the horrific extent of weaponized sexual violence used during the war, as he reported treating more than 100 rape survivors in a single week, revealing patterns of extreme brutality and systematic attacks against women and children.
