Dr Andrew Bagshaw

Dr Andrew Bagshaw was a New Zealand aid volunteer known for his selfless dedication to humanitarian efforts in conflict zones. Tragically, he was killed in January 2023 while attempting to rescue an elderly woman from an area of intense military action in Ukraine, when the vehicle he was in was struck by an artillery shell. His bravery and commitment to helping others in perilous situations made him a poignant figure in the ongoing narrative of the conflict.
