Dr Róisín Á Costello

Dr Róisín Á Costello is an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin, and a practicing barrister. She specializes in issues related to language rights and access to justice, particularly for minority language speakers. Recently, she has been involved in discussions surrounding the challenges faced by Irish speakers in court settings, especially in light of the Kneecap trial, which highlights the need for better access to interpretation services and the legal recognition of the Irish language in judicial proceedings.
