Dragan Bolanča
Dragan Bolanča is a prominent Croatian legal expert and retired professor known for his specialization in maritime law. Born in 1957 in Mali Lošinj, he graduated from the University of Split's Faculty of Law in 1980 and later earned his doctorate in 1994. Bolanča served as a full professor and was the dean of the Faculty of Law from 2004 to 2006. In addition to his academic roles, he has authored numerous publications, including 15 books and over 210 scholarly works. Following his retirement in 2022, he continued to be active in legal consulting through his firm, Pomorsko savjetovanje Bolanča d.o.o. He has also held positions such as the president of the Association of Maritime Law in Rijeka and served as an arbitrator. Recently, Bolanča was in the news for providing a legal opinion for the shipping company Jadrolinija regarding a maritime accident, which absolved the company's management of responsibility while attributing it to the crew.
