Dragica Najceska is a celebrated Macedonian poetess, storyteller, and children's author, born in 1933 in Prilep. After graduating from the Faculty of Law in Skopje, she worked as an assistant at the Faculty of Economics and later as a journalist and editor for various newspapers and magazines. Her literary career began in high school, and she published her first short story in 1950. Najceska is known for her impactful works, including the novel 'Pepper Butterfly with Drenched Wings,' the first novel by a female author in Macedonia published in 1969. Her children's stories, particularly 'Another Mother,' have made her a beloved figure among young readers, and she continues to inspire through her writings.
