Dunja Halilović

Dunja Halilović is a volunteer with the Serbian Search and Rescue Organization based in Novi Sad. On November 1, 2024, she was one of the 100 rescuers responding to a tragic collapse at the Novi Sad railway station. Alongside her colleagues, she worked tirelessly for eight hours, focusing on rescuing victims trapped under the debris. Halilović, who is also a medical professional, was instrumental in providing both emotional and medical support to survivors, including a young woman named Teodora Martinko, the sole survivor of the incident. Reflecting on the harrowing experience, she expressed pride in her team's selfless dedication amidst the chaos and the lasting emotional impact of the event.
